Personal Branding

The February meetings were set with a focus on exploration around the topic of personal brand. This topic was introduced with the desire of expressing who we are, what we offer, and our purpose. As we expand in knowing our purpose with our personal brand, we focused on creating our personal mission statement, personal business cards, and a vision board to showcase what represents us. These tactics allowed us to dig deeper in what our branding is and how we want to present ourselves.

We began to share our draft of our mission statement as a pitch to promote growth and get feedback from one another. Although many of them were shy this allowed us to practice our public speaking skills and be able to practice our mission statement as an elevator pitch. Our members also brought drafts of their work that represent their personal brands. Such as, sharing their purpose and goals through a vision board. Many of them shared that as they created a vision board they wanted to give back to the community and get involved with volunteering with local organizations.

In addition, Young Minds in the Community explored the terminology of purpose, motivation, and legacy to be able to apply it to individuals’ personal brand image. Many of our individuals are exploring their career fields, hobbies, friendships, and themselves which can impact the way they see their branding.
