Elevating Your Resume

As we bid farewell to the third month of 2024, we find ourselves already a quarter of the way through the year. With that said, Young Minds hosted our monthly workshop with five exceptional individuals actively taking part in transforming their resumes. Our guest facilitator, Brandon Morency, Founder of Brand on the Brain, shared his personal journey, transitioning from college to stepping into the entrepreneurial field and establishing a proud brand, now certified as a Professional Resume Writer accredited by the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches. A few highlights of the workshop began with Brandon’s willingness to share wisdom and offer glimpses into the awareness of how resumes are viewed through software and people's eyes, thus enabling attendees to maximize the intentionality of what goes on a resume and how this will separate them from other candidates. Just as this was something members agreed upon, members shared their own experiences related to resume building and references during interviews. A direct quote from Brandon that evening resonated with many members. He stated, 'If it's not something you enjoy, look for something you do.' Through their stories, we witnessed the unwavering commitment of our members to foster growth, learning, and collaboration within our vibrant community.
