Giving Back
New month, new goals were shared by our members. We have officially found a new office space for our organization to host our monthly meetings, which will now be located in North Park. During our meetings, this month we began with sharing life updates and sharing something good and something challenging in our life in order to have our community to rely on and grasp a new perspective during tough situations. One of the topics that we focused on was surrounded on creating opportunities for ourselves in our personal and professional lives. Some members expressed the value of our meetings and being able to hold one another accountable. Especially when discussing our personal goals and being able to rely on our members to get feedback and support. During this month our members focus on establishing their biographies and we focus on taking our professional headshots. As we progress, our members expressed their excitement to see the published website and social media for YMIC. We are excited to share our community with others and continue to grow.
Being able to see the progress that our organization is making has been extremely rewarding for everyone. We began to volunteer in April, which allowed us to begin sharing the vision of Young Minds in the Community. Our volunteer events were in La Mesa and North Park. Two of San Diego's popular cities. We volunteer with Litter Free community clean up hosted by I Love A Clean San Diego. In addition, to also participating in North Park’s clean up to celebrate Earth Day.
Young Minds in the Community continues to be committed to serving the community and providing a space for growth. Excited for this next chapter for YMIC.
