Young Minds in the Community concluded the month of August by partnering with Chase Bank National City to host a Financial Literacy workshop. The workshop focused on teaching the community about basic budgeting, including how to create and manage a budget that works for individuals, how to set SMART short-term and long-term financial goals, and smart spending practices. Attendees gained insights on making informed spending decisions and avoiding debt. The interest in having more financial literacy workshops was expressed by many attendees. The following day, Young Minds in the Community partnered with North Park Main Street to lead a community cleanup in North Park. Below are some pictures from the event, where we connected with fellow community members, shared interests in participating in future events, and supported each other in making a positive impact with great intentions.
